Junior Media Planner

Overview

White Advertising is a strategic media planning and placement company founded in 1991, with an excellent reputation for integrity, service, and client retention.  We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate who has agency experience and an essential understanding of agency dynamics and client focus.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic who loves learning and taking on new challenges. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist President in all areas of media plan development such as research, concepting, strategic development and presentation preparation 

  • Provide assistance and back-up in execution of approved media plans, including but not limited to, creating insertion orders and drafting trafficking instructions

  • Establish spreadsheets for tracking media placements and billing data

  • Support other team members during heavy work flow periods   

  • Participate in brainstorm sessions

  • Work with media partners on avail requests, traffic and invoicing

Requirements

  • 2+ years of agency experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines and goals

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Experience working collaboratively, cross-functionally and independently

  • Must be analytical, detailed-oriented, goal and task-oriented

  • Professional, articulate, diplomatic (candidate will be in contact with agency executives, clients and partners)

  • Ability to work effectively with challenging situations and people under deadline pressure

  • Understanding of media basics a plus (OOH, print, TV, cable, digital, radio)

Job Type

  • Part-time (flexible schedule, approximately 20 hours per week)

  • Charlotte, NC – remote can be considered based on experience and qualifications
